I am hoping someone can help me with this. I have gone to the product page and downloaded the new Upgrade MAIN file, put it on USB, and tried upgrading my monitor from 1012 to 2000.2 but my monitor says there is no update available. In the about this monitor in settings my current firmware is showing T-OSCINGM-1012. The file on Samsung's website is T-OSCSCWWC which is different than what is on my monitor. I believe this is causing the update not to take place. When I was working with Samsung support they sent a message stating some monitors can't make the jump from 1012 all the way to 2000.2 and said you need to do an update to a firmware in between those versions. Both chat and phone support would not give me a different firmware than what is on the website and wouldn't even look into the naming mismatch. They are forcing me to do an in-home service rather than giving me the correct file(s) needed to perform the upgrade myself. I'm already concerned that the tech that comes out will only have access to the firmware that is on the public site and won't be prepared with compatible files for my monitor. It is extremely frustrating that I wouldn't be transferred to tier 2 support being told that tier 2 support can only be engaged by a Samsung engineer which I think is not true. I couldn't even get transferred to a supervisor. I am hoping someone from Samsung can help me with this community post. This is a troubleshooting step due to my monitor flashing white randomly with artifacts. The only thing connected to the monitor is my computer. I have tried all ports (HDMI, Micro HDMI, and DisplayPort) and the issue persists. I have done factory reset of monitor and issue persists. I have the most up to date drivers for my graphics card. I did a fresh installation of Windows. I have upgraded my computer with all new hardware except for graphics card. I was able to update using USB the OS Upgrade, so I know my usb drive works. I am certain that I need a firmware inbetween to flash to or the correct firmware for my monitor that is not on the website.
Model: LS49CG954SNXZA
Firmware in Settings>About monitor: T-OSCINGM-1012
Firmware on website: T-OSCSCWWC
Thank you in advance for your support

This did not work. When I use the download center it provides the update file but as I said originally the version on the page for my model doesn't work. The monitor doesn't detect the update file from USB. The naming convention is different which most likely why the monitor isn't accepting it. I might need a different upgrade file that is in between 1012 and 2000.2 as per the chat rep told me.

@DuzeNiedzWiedz There is no reason to post the serial number of a device in a public discussion group like this. It provides no information for troubleshooting purposes and offers the possibility that someone can use it for no good.

Hello DuzeNiedzWiedz,
Welcome to Community. I can understand how frustrating it can be when unable to get your device updated to the most current versions. I want my devices running the most up to date software/firmware too. Please follow this link https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002051/. It will provide you with troubleshooting and instructions to get any updates that may be available.
No matter which model you have, keeping your software up to date is very important. You can update your monitor's software over the internet or using a USB flash drive. Keep in mind that your video and audio settings might be automatically reset to defaults after an update. Let me know if this helps.
