I posted this topic earlier this year but it has been archived, so here we go again.

On my new S26, when I'm playing audio (thru several different apps), notifications (emails, texts, etc) cause the audio to decrease for a couple seconds. This issue went away a few months ago but it's come back again in the last month or so.

This is the third time I've posted this topic.  I would appreciate any help I can get.

You can give this a try too see if it helps you.

      1. Enable "Multi-Sound" via Sound Assistant
You can stop apps from lowering each other's audio by using Samsung's official tool:

      • Open the Galaxy Store and download the Good Lock app (or download Sound Assistant directly if available).
      • Open Sound Assistant.
      • Tap Multi Sound and toggle it On.
      • Choose which apps are allowed to play audio at the same time without lowering each other

That's not what I'm trying to do.  The steps you outlined will let two apps play at the same time.  I don't want that, I want apps to play at the same volume when I get notifications.  Thanks anyway.

This is designed behavior.  Notifications with sound will disrupt or lower the volume of whatever you are listening to momentarily.  You can create a mode or routine to turn notification sounds off when you open any app  that plays music or video with sound.   This way, you will still get the notifications, but you will not have your  sound interrupted.  You can also just plain old put your device into do no disturb mode or put your phone on silent.  Any number of ways t o get around that.

Thanks but I do not agree with that.  For several months, that was not designed behavior.  It started up on its own about a month ago, and I didn't make any changes in the settings.

Also, I have all notifications on silent already.  The only time my phone makes a sound is when I get a call and it rings.

You mentioned creating a mode or routine.  How do I go about doing that?
