I have an "unlimited" data plan which includes 60 GB of high-speed hotspot, which then throttles for the rest of the month. The main settings includes a way to set a warning for a preset amount of usage, but it tracks the main Internet access and the hotspot together.
Would there be a way to add a mode/routine to track just the hotspot usage, for the occasional month where I'm using one of my tablets on my phone's hotspot and away from the house Wi-Fi?

Not sure of Mode/Routine but you might want to check if Macrodroid allows you to do this. I think the free version allows a few macros.
