Curious if there has been any discussion or consideration to allowing the 'App Drawer' to allow 5x7 grid, possibly by moving the Search Bar to the left of the 3 dots? Even possibly 5x8 by decreasing some of the vertical spacing between rows?

You can do all of these things if you download Good Lock and the module HomeUp from the Galaxy Store. When installed to get to the HomeUp settings, pinch in on your screen, scroll down to more settings. HomeUp will open.

Yes currently the app drawer within Samsung UI can only go 5x6. It seems by moving the search to the top next to the 3 dots, you could even get to 5x8 pretty easily with a little less space vertically between rows. As far as within a folder that could also be improved. Icons within a folder is limited to 4x4, but could easily be expanded to 4x6 by removing some of the blank space on the top half of the screen.
As far as Good Lock I recall trying that at some point, and do realize it could implement this. But I was turned off that Good Lock seemed to take over so much of my screen management I didn't want to mess with it. Simply having Samsung expand the grid choices to the nice config setup they have for grid choices would be so much nicer. Just think it would be a good idea to expand those choices a bit.

Yes I agree Samsung can't program all features anyone would ask for. I still think expanding the grid options would be a widely accepted feature though built into the Samung 'Home screen' option menu.
Folder grid, current options 3x4 and 4x4, expand options to include 4x5 and 4x6
Home screen grid, current options 4x6 and 5x6, expand options to include 5x7 and 5x8
Am I the only one who thinks this is a good idea 🙂
