Thank you, Chorizo, for letting us know your Samsung Galaxy S22+ camera experience is having issues with processing shadow.

And we really understand what you are going through, expecting your device camera to work normally as it should be. But don't worry; we are here to assist, offer quick fixes, and provide solutions to the issues with your device.

Both, we will figure out what's behind the issue/s and other possible reasons and come up with the solutions by following below steps.

      A) Ensure that your device is up-to-date with the latest Software updates.

Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Download and Install > Follow On-screen Notifications

      B) Reset the camera app.

Open the Camera app > and then tap Settings > Swipe to and tap Reset settings, and then tap Reset.

      C) Clear the Camera App Data and Cache.

Open Camera App Icon > Press the "i" button, scroll to Storage > press "Clear data" and "Clear cache".

      D) Change Camera mode to Camera settings to keep.

      Step 1. Open Camera app.

Step 2. Tap the Camera Settings on the upper left (gear icon).

Step 3. Navigate and open the Settings to keep right in the middle.

Step 4. Toggle On the Camera Mode.

Step 5. Manually take photo shot in the dark by selecting the Auto Flash-On.

      Step 6. Close camera app.

Step 7. Then, open the camera app again and shoot your subject. You will notice that it will take shot with the last known camera settings.

      E) Power up in Safe Mode.

      • Long-press the power button to launch the power menu.
      • Now long-press on the 'Power off' menu until a window appears.
      • Tap 'Yes' on the screen to reboot into Safe Mode.
      • Then check if the camera is working properly. In this case, a third party app may be conflicting with the camera software. Restart your phone in normal mode and remove recently installed or updated third-party apps one by one until the problem is gone. To completely remove the apps, you may need to restart the phone after removing each app.

      F) Run Diagnostics under Samsung Members app.

Step 1. Run Samsung Members and select Diagnostic menu.

Step 2. Tap View Tests located under Diagnostics.

      Step 3. Diagnostics checks, Individually Tap the following;

      "Camera"

Step 4. Your Galaxy phone will then run through the checks.

Step 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the check.

Step 6. You can view your results after each check is complete.
