So here's my problem. I just got a notification that samsung messages is no longer working for text messages. And that i'm being forced to switch to google for my text messages. I do not like GOOGLE for privacy purposes. I don't like the monopoly that it has been allowed to become. What is my alternative for text messages/ SMS

Believe it was july 7th off top my head that Samsung ended support for the Samsung messages

Signal is not an option for most people. You can only exchange messages with others who have signal.

I tried textra and hated it. Cant use google. So I just went back to samsung messages and it still works somwhow

Samsung messages worked for me for a few days after they said it was discontinued. But it doesn't work anymore. If it did, I would definitely be using Samsung messages.
