More of a vent, frustrated by samsungs limited choice of repair shops for phones. Not sure if this is just becase of the area i live in, but the only 'samsung warranty' approved stores i can go to get my phone repaired are 'Ubreakifix'. Theres only one close to me, the other 30 minutes from my house, which is fine i can drive; but i'll need to leave my phone for possibly an entire DAY to get the screen fixed.

I brought it to the close location and, I had forgotten I'd actually gone to these people to have my flip fixed a couple of years ago and it was just a terrible experience all around. But going back again to get my s26u screen replaced due to actual old school burn in (somehow) and samsung made the appt for me, phone is under warranty and without any damage- actually shocked the pristine condition my phone is still in- and they said they needed to submit photos of it to samsung to approve the warranty. I had been told when they scheduled the appointment that it was under warranty, so I called Samsung back and they were just as confused. Turns out they had 'found damage on the phone' and i could hear them talking to the tech in the back. He said the camera lens was cracked and i said 'is it the lens? Or the camera protector cover?'

Tech said there was no cover on it, proceeded to watch me pry the camera cover off in front of him. THE TECH. The guy im supposed to trust to replace my phone screen? He couldn't tell that I have extremely purple shiny camera covers on my lenses? They never even told me the first time they thought there was damage. They would have submitted the warranty claim saying i have broken cameras and the claim wouldve been denied because of it.

And he also said they submitted info to their higher ups, not samsung, so i was told two different things by the staff, since the only reason I called Samsung the second time was because the kid had told me it was Samsung required approval. ALSO told me the repair would take an entire day when the Samsung representative had told me it would be 2 hours. 💀

I just cant understand why samsung works with this repair shop and ONLY this shop. Especially when they clearly have no clue what theyre doing, What they're looking at, or Who they need to be submitting claims to 😮‍💨 working today on seeing if i can make it to the further repair shop because i cannot leave my phone with that guy 😭 not after all that stupidity.
