Is anyone else really let down by the S26 Ultra's camera performance? I use the camera very often at work to take close up pictures of millimeter measurements and I've had nothing but trouble and disappointment after disappointment in the quality of the pictures. When I first got it, they were good, but ever since that glitch with the 3x and 5x zooms my picture quality has gone way down. Never had this problem with my S24 Ultra, or any other samsung phone I've had going all the way back to the S6. Samsung had really let me down this time. All the hype about the new aperture size and software improvements with the cameras and it's all been a bust. I hate iphone, but they're looking better right now in the camera department to me.

I agree, I got the 26 ultra a couple weeks ago upgrading from my s10+ & my s10 took better photos than this one! I'm so disappointed & frustrated as I've tried to watch videos to change all kinds of settings (which I shouldn't have to do) & it hasn't helped at all.
I also shouldn't have to reset a brand new phone (it's running the latest software-I checked). I have ALWAYS had a Samsung phone & never had a problem before now & I literally buy my cell based on photo taking because I take tons of them & I am completely at a loss & ready to turn my phone in.
I used to take photos of weeds in the yard & you could zoom in on the taken photo & see a whole new world (I realize some of this was due to optical zoom but I was always able to zoom in & crop photos to get what I wanted to print a photo out). EVERY picture I have taken of anything & on any setting with the s26 so far, if you try to zoom in to crop, print or even view the photo on my phone, the subject is blurry every single time & there are no clear edges for anything.
I am totally disappointed with this phone's photo taking abilities so far. I would love to think it's some kind of setting but I have worked through all the things that others are mentioning to do & none of it has helped. I am absolutely sick at this point to think of all the special moments that I'm going to miss because of this camera as I will have to wait to get a different one, I haven't even made the 1st payment yet.
& it isn't anything to do with the macro setting or being too close/far to/from the subject for the zoom setting I'm using.

I have the same experience. I switched from the S10+ to the S26 Ultra and I am really disappointed by the camera quality of the S26 Ultra. My S10+ takes better photos. My main issue with the S26 Ultra is how inconsistent my photos and videos are. The colors are constantly off. My videos turn out darker, as if there is a dark gray layer on top of it. Switching the camera zoom causes big drops in quality and consistency. As someone who loves photography, I was so excited after reading and watching reviews of the S26 Ultra, but all I can say is that I'm very disappointed, especially considering this is a flagship phone that costs a fortune. I really hope there will be software fixes for this. Otherwise I have to switch to another phone in the near future.

S26 ultra picture quality look vary unclear and dirty. A use sumsung A23 this phone take good pictures butter then s26 ultra.. after 1 month learning about s26 ultra camera. I naver take one satisfied good photo. I don't know this phone is camera original or not. I waiting any kind of update resolved this problem but after new update the phone camera is same .

Just bought s26 ultra, when i take the video or photo it looks like the phone came out in 2010,i had s22 ultra for 4 years and in terms of camera quality its like comparing the s22 is like proffesional camera and the s26 is some cheap phone

I have an issue with my camera. All video recording shows a glitch and non uniformity in video smoothness. I have reset the storage and still issue exist. Video seems vibratining and frams not continues the sane when using snap.
