Samsung Wallet has the digital ID feature but that feature should have auto Lockdown Mode enabled so phone is locked if presented for identification purposes. Right now if your digital ID or drivers license is presented to anyone, they have full access to your phone because it is unlocked.

It is so much easier and much more reassuring just to present your physical ID. This is one of the reasons I also still print my boarding passes and put my phone in lockdown mode when passing through security. But you are right, if they are going to have digital IDs in the wallet, they should keep the phone locked while doing so. Just like with the quick access bar, where you can pay when your phone is locked, you should also be able to go into your digital IDs without having to unlock your phone.
