Terrace TV

My wife and I decided to spend the extra money to purchase a true outdoor TV for our back patio area. We wanted to avoid issues of taking down in the winter, potential weather issues and possible premature failure.  It is mounted to the back of our house and is under our covered porch. Four years later (out of warranty), the TV just went blank in the middle of watching a show. I contacted Samsung, created a ticket for their service team to come out to the house and let me know what the cost of repair would be. There were two issues, the power board was bad (I was expecting that) and the screen itself was also bad (was not expecting). Estimate to repair is going to be around $2k. The TV itself was purchased for $2.4K. Has anyone else run into this issue?
