I am writing to request technical assistance for a recurring issue with sleep tracking on my Galaxy Watch 9. The watch continues to miss significant chunks of sleep data every night, leaving large unrecorded gaps and displaying incomplete sleep stage metrics (specifically Deep sleep and REM sleep).

Below is a summary of the troubleshooting and configuration steps completed to resolve the issue:

1. Fit and Wearable Setup: Switched to a Fabric Band to allow precise micro-adjustments. The watch is worn snugly about one finger-width above the wrist bone to maintain steady skin contact with the BioActive sensor.
2. Samsung Health Advanced Settings: Toggled on and verified all Advanced Sleep Measurement settings in Samsung Health, including continuous Blood Oxygen monitoring, Skin Temperature tracking, and Snore Detection.
3. Health Monitor Integration: Configured and authorized the Sleep Apnea feature in Samsung Health Monitor.
4. Active Sleep Profile: Consistently engage Bedtime Mode prior to sleeping.
5. Conflict Resolution: Executed a full factory reset on the previous wearable (Galaxy Watch 6 Classic) to remove potential sync conflicts or duplicate device bindings within Samsung Health.
6. System Permissions & Setup: Re-verified all background data, location, and health measurement permissions following the Samsung setup wizard.

Despite these steps, sleep logs routinely miss large portions of nightly rest. Please advise on how to proceed.

Thank you

I think it has something to do with the watch thinking it's no longer on your wrist. Disable the password or wrist detection. I was having this issue as well seem to fix it for me.

Thanks for the response.   I have no password, Lock type: None, but wrist detection was On.  I just turned it off,  finger's crossed for tonight.   Last night was another big missed chunk of sleep time.

First night with good data in several days,  I'm hopeful disabling wrist detection did the trick.  I'll report back after some more nights of data.

Same here. It's been happening for over a year for me. I've done a full reset 3 times on my watch, on my 3rd phone in a year, and still the same. All battery and power saving disabled but sensors shut off after close to 4 hours of sleep. There's definitely a bug, that 4 hours mark is a dead give away.

Speaking of dead, my sleep score says I should be dead! Lol

Mine is brand new and hasn't worked yet. It misses my beginning of sleep and says I wake up earlier than I actually do. I have tried all the settings support suggested. Still no help.

I just got a brand new watch 9 and it is missing many hours of sleep, especially at the start of the sleep
