Hey Samsung Community,
I am on my 2nd Watch 9 after my first one stopped tracking my daily activity within the 14 day return window. Samsung support was not able to help and suggested repair, but since I was within the window I opted for return and purchase new (they don't outright replace!).
I just got my new one last week, and after a software update yesterday it stopped tracking again! I've been moving around for an hour, and 0 steps, calories or active time. Unless I have my phone on me I get no steps at all. Everything else works. I can track workouts, take blood pressure/ECG, it's tracking sleep. Just no activity.
Yes, I've done all the common troubleshooting steps, restart watch and phone, check for recent software across the Health app and my watch, ran diagnostics, etc. with no luck. Outside of completely resetting and starting fresh. Has anyone else had this same issue? Any tricks for fixing?

Hi @HuskyUbu,
Thank you for reaching out to the Samsung Community. That whole situation sounds really frustrating, and we'd love to help.
First, to add to what @ggwv mentioned, if this is a bug, you may want to submit an error report.
Also, have you tried resetting the watch? If not, do you have your watch backed up so that you don't lose any information?
Has it stopped tracking everything, or are only certain features affected?
Please let us know so we can better assist you.

@HuskyUbu, thanks for getting back to us. Since the factory reset only worked for a short period of time, we suggest clearing the cache for the Samsung Health app on your watch.
To do this, go to Settings > Apps > App List, then find and select Samsung Health. Tap Force Stop, then Clear Cache. This may provide similar benefits to the factory reset and help resolve the issue.
If you haven't already, I also recommend submitting an error report so the issue can be investigated further.
Please let us know if these steps work for you as well!

My other watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic, is not experiencing this issue (I believe because the older series of watches have the older software versions).
