Hello Everyone!!! I'm new here. I've been an iPhone user for years and recently switched to Samsung. I had the iPhone 17 and traded it in for the Galaxy S26. I'm having issues with Google Messages. When I first got the phone google messages was showing up on my lock screen with no problem. Now google messages is showing up differently and acting differently.
Here's what I mean:
Google Messages would show up like this on my lock screen
Now, Google Messages shows up like this
Is this normal? Sorry guys!!! Like I said...I'm new to Galaxy. Just didn't know if there's something wrong with my phone or if this is how it shows up on everyone's galaxy phones. Please Help!!!

You were more help than the guy at AT&T. He couldn't even help me. He looked like he had no clue what I was talking about. He didn't even tell me to go to Notifications > Hide content when locked and click on hide when locked

The people at the phone stores are sales personnel who may or may not know some stuff about your phone. If the "helper" you got was not a user of a Samsung phone, it is unlikely they knew about that setting (or any of the fine tuning settings) on a Samsung phone.

Option 1 (You only want to change how Google messages content is displayed): Settings -> Apps -> Messages (Google) -> Notifications -> Show or hide content when locked -> *select* 'Show Always'
Option 2 (You don't want any of your apps to hide potentially sensitive information on the lock screen): Settings -> Notifications -> Hide content while locked -> *select* 'Show Always'
Hope that helps,
Henry
Edit: I did this from my Tab S10 that still runs One UI 8.5, but I'm pretty sure it'll be the same for One UI 9

Is your issue that the logo looks different? Or that your text is private? Or that the bubble looks wider? Frankly, I don't see any difference between any of the photos you are showing. From time to time some apps change their logo somewhat, and Google recently made changes to many of their app logos. Also, there is a slight difference in the icon that appears in the message bubble, depending on whether you have selected to show app icon in notifications or not. If you have selected that option, the icon that appears in the notification will be the icon as it appears on your home screen. If you turn it off, the icon that shows will be a similar, but generic version. If you use an icon pack, it may change.

Do you have your notifications set to brief or hide content? I have my notifications set to detailed, and as yet, I have not seen anything other than the complete content but, admittedly, I haven't been paying astute attention. I get a notification, I tap it (or the expansion arrow if I don't want the sender to know I've read it), I see my message.
