I'm not seeing "Fast Charging" (or even "Super Fast") any more, even though the toggles in Settings are turned on. I think it did happen once, after a period where the toggle was (deliberately) off and a phone reboot (with the option being turned back on after that). This involves the same charging cord throughout, rated for 25 watts.
You will usually only see it as a flash notification when you first plug into the charger, and then you normally see it when you pull down the notification shade and look at the charging notification. They changed this behavior like 2 updates ago, since fast charging only takes place when your batter is below 50% and will fast charge up to 50% and then revert to normal charging speed. This is to prevent too much stress on the battery. Fast charging is only meant to get you quickly up and running, since a lot of people seem to have the incredibly bad habit of letting their battery go to less than 10% or completely expired before they put it on a charger.
Ok mine is s25plus and it will no longer fast charge i also get the moisture in port alert so the time and my battery will phone is getting so hot it burned my cheek and it only happens if I'm playing Paramount and also when charging. It was at 68% and it said 1hour and 54min? I'm so confused
The charging is weirdly impacted by which side of the cable you plug in. I.e. the same end of the cable but flipping it from one side to another change the charging speed. Using not 100% Samsung chargers also impacts the charging speed. My cable used to do super fast charging before the update even though it is not a genuine Samsung charger cable. I used to charge my phone from 5% to 100% in about 80 min, now the same charge takes 150 min to charge 50% of the battery! Samsung new update definitely and intentionally did something to limit the charging amd it sucks!
Did you find the solution? I am facing exactly the same problem. Liquid in port warnings before one ui9 update but post update no fast charging at all. Same charger and cable as before.
I've also just updated my phone a few days ago to One UI 9. Before I used to get Super Fast Charging all the time that would go from 0 to 100 in 50ish mins. Now after the update, I only get slow charging that gets me from 0 to 100 in 2hrs and 50ish mins. It's so annoying. I can't have a full battery for my day at all unless I leave it to charge over night. During the day I'm always running out of battery because it's never fully charged because of how long it takes to charge.
