Whatever knuckle dragging, dirt eating, caveman that keeps adding these game on my phone needs to stop. And whoever was sitting beside them when they decided to take the mute all button off my side buttons needs to have their phone vibrate next to their head every hour on the hour until thier mind snaps from exhaustion.

Buy direct, buy outright, buy factory unlocked.

Only way to stop bloat apps.

As for the mute issue, Samsung most likely removed it because people were accidentally muting their phones instead of putting them on vibrate, resulting in missed calls and messages. There are multiple ways you can fix this.

      - use Modes and Routines to automatically set your sound mode under specific conditions, so you never have to think about sound mode again (recommended)

      - change your sound mode using the quick settings panel instead of buttons

      - tab the 3 dots on the volume slider to view the expanded panel and set it to whatever you want

      - use a lock screen shortcut

      - use do not disturb to control what notifications can and can't reach you under certain conditions.

Changing in muscle memory can be rough, but it's much easier to do the work to make a routine once, set it and forget it.

I use location and time based routines and I have not manually changed my sound mode in at least 3 months.

The apps yes but Samsung got rid of the mute option with the side button in a recent update I think one ui8 cuz I was trying to figure out the setting I had to go to Google to figure out why I couldn't mute my phone with just the silent button

You obviously have a carrier locked phone.  These games and other programs are added by your carrier, per the agreement you signed for your free/discounted phone.  This is the trade-off for that discount.  The games are easily uninstalled if you don't want them.  You can purchase a factory unlocked phone and you will not get those unwanted programs.  Samsung is not the entity adding them.

Also, the mute issue is separate from that.  That is squarely on Samsung.  It has been discussed in long ago posts that there are workarounds to this.  The easiest ones being to either create a routine to add the mute back to the button action, if that is what you are used to; or pulling down the control panel and tapping the speaker icon on the volume control (tap it twice to mute).  There are other options, as well, but I'm not going to list them here.
