The latest update caused my phone to ask for password almost every time. I have restarted, deleted and re-did fingerprint. Major dissatisfaction

Your password is required every 72 hours, or after a restart. You can put on extend unlock or create a routine to keep your phone unlocked under certain conditions, but you will still need your password to unlock every 72 hours or after a restart. This is a security feature of your phone. You need to also unlock your phone after a missed phone call or notification, but your fingerprint should suffice for that.

In the main text you said on a restart, you have to put your pin or password when you restart your phone for a very long time now.
Then you said every time you open the phone . Are you having a problem with the fingerprint scanner? If this is your problem, go to settings, apps, ( on Ui8.5 next to where it says your apps, tap on the 3 lines and toggle on show system apps. On Ui9 , tap on the 3 dots, sort, toggle on show system apps) type in the search box biometrics, open the info page, go to storage and clear cache.

Same problem after update I have to use pin where I used to use fingerprint. To auto fill password must use pin now . Very frustrating also deal breaker for equipment choice I'm in and out of apps and web login constantly pin is slow and unnecessary. I can choose my own security level
