      It should do what you need. In that menu click on the app which is opening and clear the default. Then try opening a PDF. You should get the prompt for selecting which app to use.

      @user_4vSbN64 Try this:

      1. Open phone settings
      2. Click on Apps
      3. Click on the app which is opening but you don't want it to
      4. Under the heading Defaults, click on Set as default and turn it off.

      Not sure that'll do what I need. I see "Select whether to open this app instead of your browser app . . ." My issue is I was trying to open a PDF document, and accidentally hit Always with an app different than I meant.

      Thanks! I'll try that technique next time I screw up (and there's always going to be a next time!) -- to get around the problem I had, while I was waiting to see if anyone would respond, I uninstalled the app I didn't want to always use, so got back to being asked which of  several other options I wanted to use.
