Subject: Samsung Health 7.00.6.011: Historical Sleep and Steps Data Not Displaying

Smartphone: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Operating system: Android 17
Samsung One UI: 9
Samsung Health version: 7.00.6.011
Samsung Health version release date: 2026-09-07
Samsung Health updated: 2026-09-14 at 07:14 PDT
Android 17 / One UI 9 updated: 2026-10-31 at 23:14 PDT
Android security patch level: 2026-10-05 or October 5, 2026 (Verizon Wireless Security Update Software Update 39.0) installed on 2026-11-01 at 01:30 PDT
Wearable accessories: None. I have never used a Galaxy Watch or other wearable accessory.

Problem description:

On 2026-11-02 Monday, I discovered that Samsung Health no longer displayed any historical Sleep or Steps data, including records from 2026-11-01 Sunday and earlier. The data are missing from both the main screen and historical views.

I synchronized Samsung Health and downloaded my health data, confirming that the Sleep and Steps records still exist.

On 2026-11-01, Samsung Health appeared to be functioning normally.

The problem occurred shortly after three significant events:

- 2026-10-31 at 23:14 PDT: I updated my Galaxy S24 Ultra to Android 17 and One UI 9.
- 2026-11-01 at 01:30 PDT: I updated my Galaxy S24 Ultra to Verizon Wireless Security Update Software Update 39.0, which includes the Android security patch level: 2026-10-05.
- 2026-11-01 at 02:00 PDT: Pacific Daylight Time ended, and clocks moved backward one hour to 01:00 PST.

Troubleshooting performed on 2026-11-02:

1. Force-stopped Samsung Health and cleared its cache. The problem persisted.

2. Disabled Automatic date and time and manually changed the smartphone's system date to 2026-11-01. All historical Sleep and Steps records displayed correctly.

3. Reenabled Automatic date and time, restoring the correct date of 2026-11-02. All historical Sleep and Steps records disappeared again.

4. Disabled Automatic date and time and manually set the system date to 2026-11-02 with the correct Pacific Standard Time. The historical records remained blank.

5. Disabled Automatic time zone and manually selected the Pacific (Los Angeles) time zone. The historical records remained blank.

6. Completely powered off the smartphone at 21:17 PST and powered it back on at 21:20 PST. The problem persisted.

7. Confirmed that Consent to the processing of health and wellness data is enabled.

Conclusion and request:

The historical Sleep and Steps records exist and can be displayed by Samsung Health when the system date is set to 2026-11-01. However, when the correct date of 2026-11-02 or later is selected, none of the historical records display, regardless of the automatic date and time settings.

This behavior suggests a possible Samsung Health software defect involving date processing, time-zone transitions, or historical data retrieval.

Please investigate whether Samsung Health 7.00.6.011 has a defect related to the daylight-saving time transition or compatibility with Android 17 and One UI 9 or compatibility with Android security patch level: 2026-10-05.

Important restriction regarding Samsung Health updates:

I do not want to update Samsung Health to version 7.1 because, according to a Samsung update notice, that version removes the "Set target" screen. I use this screen and want to retain its functionality. Therefore, please do not recommend updating to version 7.1 as the solution to this problem.

Please provide a solution that restores access to all historical Sleep and Steps records while preserving my existing health data and the "Set target" screen in Samsung Health 7.00.6.011.
