On standard flat smartphones, using wireless power sharing requires you to place the phone face down, completely blocking the screen until charging is finished.

Simultaneous wireless charging is a unique feature of the Galaxy Z Fold that lets you power your accessories with wireless power sharing while continuing to interact with your Cover Screen. By unfolding the device and placing the main display face-down, you can charge your Galaxy Buds on the rear panel while the outer display stays face-up, active, and fully accessible.

The Galaxy Z Fold's innovative folding hardware is engineered to provide maximum flexibility in every position. With simultaneous wireless charging, you never have to put your phone away or pause what you're doing just to charge your companion devices.

Pro Tips

  • Set a Battery Limit: Head to Settings > Battery > Wireless PowerShare to set a battery cut-off limit (e.g., 30% or 40%). This guarantees your Fold preserves enough power for your personal use.

  • Surface Protection: Place the phone on a clean desk mat, cloth, or mousepad when laying the main screen face-down to keep the display safe.

Note:

  • Only devices that support the wireless charging feature can be charged using this feature. Some devices may not be charged.
  • To charge properly, do not move or use either device while charging.
  • The power charged to the other device may be less than the amount shared to it by your device.
  • If you charge the other device while charging your device, the charging speed may decrease or the device may not charge properly depending on the charger type.
  • The charging speed or efficiency may vary depending on the device’s condition or the surrounding environment.
