[Quick Tips] Fold 8 Ultra - Flex mode controls

Whether you're watching a video, joining a video call, browsing the web, or working across multiple apps, Flex mode helps you use your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra more comfortably when it's partially folded.

When you fold your device halfway, supported apps automatically adjust their layout - placing your main content on the top half while giving you a dedicated control panel and handy tools on the bottom half.

How to use Flex mode on your Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra

1. Enable Flex mode panel & Auto rotate:

Go to Settings > Advanced features > Flex mode panel and turn on the feature. Then swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Quick settings panel and ensure Auto rotate is toggled on.

2. Open a supported app:

Launch a supported app on your main screen - such as YouTube for streaming, Google Meet or Zoom for video calls, or Samsung Internet for web browsing.

3. Partially fold your device:

Fold your Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra halfway and place it on a stable, flat surface like a desk or counter.

4. Adjust the angle and use screen controls:

Adjust the angle until the app automatically switches to the Flex mode layout. Enjoy hands-free viewing on the top screen while using the lower screen to navigate, control media playback, adjust volume and brightness, or use the virtual Touchpad.

Quick Pro-Tips for Flex mode

App Compatibility: Flex mode and the Flex mode panel work with supported apps. You can customize auto-show behavior per app directly within the Flex mode panel settings.
Multi Window Multitasking: Use the Flex mode panel on the lower half to quickly launch Multi Window, allowing you to keep a video call or video on top while taking notes or chatting below.

Thank you @AnnaMaz I'm loving the zfold ultra I'm definitely a convert to the zfold system so happy with it there's only one drawback to mention the camera is nowhere near the s26 ultra other than that I'm one happy bunny 🐰 🐇 😀 😊

Not hearing great reviews about the new fold. I have had the last 2 fold and both had screen issues.

I know many enjoy the Flex features, whilst this is not available on the Z Fold8 not the most important factor in my view and a lot of other features coupled with an attractive form factor.
