The ability to prevent swiping down and accessing quick panel needs to be enabled.

I know there is an option that still allows access but prevent a few options from being changed.

But unfortunately, kids tend to play with the screen brightness, sound settings (turning the phone to mute instead of loud notifications), flash settings etc.

This is such a basic use case and surprised this has been removed.

@M0DS: I have gone ahead and passed your suggestion to our Research and Development Team, who will explore the possibility of introducing the option to lock/prevent access to the Quick Panel while a device is locked. I will update this post when I hear any feedback from them.

@M0DS: Hi there. Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. The Research and Development Team have looked into the possibility of locking the Quick Panel completely while the phone is locked, however as it doesn't directly affect the security of the device, it's implementation has not been deemed a high priority. Please be assured that they will continue to monitor this going forward, however at the moment they are focussing on other critical areas for improvement.

any update? I live in an area where phones being taken is a real reality and my friends phones have been stolen before, luckily not mine. however this is honestly a very important area for me because if someone takes my phone they can easily turn off my location, wifi, and mobile data so that I can't find my device

How it is not a high priority? Theft is the main reason when a theif snatches your phone first thing he does is try to change it to silent mode so it can't be noticed, we know that there is setting for wifi and mobile network but that's not enough. Below are exact details which we need try reading below:

We just need Samsung to add an option to completely disable Quick Panel access while the phone is locked.

Currently, anyone can swipe down on the Lock Screen and access Quick Settings such as:

      • Airplane Mode
      • Wi-Fi / Mobile Data
      • Bluetooth
      • Sound/Silent
      • Brightness
      • Flashlight and other controls

      My request is simple:

When the phone is locked, Quick Panel and all Quick Settings should remain inaccessible until the device is unlocked with the correct PIN, Password, or biometric authentication.

This is especially important for anti-theft and device security. If a phone is lost or stolen, the person who finds it should not be able to change important settings before the owner can locate or secure the device.

I have already enabled the available security features, including Lock Network and Security, Theft Protection, Identity Check, Offline Finding, and Samsung Find, but there is still no complete Lock Screen Quick Panel restriction.

      Please consider adding:

Settings → Lock Screen → Secure Lock Settings → Disable Quick Panel While Locked

A truly locked phone should not allow access to system controls until the authorized user unlocks it.

Thank you. I hope Samsung considers this important security feature for a future One UI update.

I've had a few Samsung phones and have always found this missing option most annoying and not logical.

When the phone is in my pocket important settings sometimes get changed and I have to re-configure them. Yes. Accidental touch protection is enabled, but this doesn't stop the phone entering the Quick Settings.

Exactly this had happened when I was involved in a car accident last January, not my fault, but when I turned on my S22 to call for help the screen was black. This has also happened a few times in the past. Not only do the settings get modified, but so does the brightness. This means I have to take the phone to a VERY dark area in order to see the lock screen and then the home screen. Maybe the developers don't consider this a high priority security issue for the phone, but they certainly must agree that this issue should have very high priority for one's safety in an emergency. I couldn't even take pictures of the accident scene....

I now have an S26 and see that I still cannot disable the Quick Settings on the lock screen. Very, very disappointing.

A lock screen should be just that, LOCKED - for EVERYTHING except for the log-in.
