On my S25 ultra, I've set the dynamic wallpaper since the launch of One UI 8. Recently over the past couple of days I keep getting the wallpaper isn't working, and that it needs to be removed and reapplied

Wallpaper resets to default Samsung image every morning. Can select one of the dynamic images successfully but by the time I wake up it's back to the default one. Seems like this affects many people on S25 range as well as S24 from the various posts I have seen on the subject.

After analysing your error logs, we have found the cause of this wallpaper behaviour. This has been fixed in Samsung Wallpaper version: 2.5.80.0 and above. Please update Samsung Wallpaper once an update is available through the Galaxy Store. You can check for updates under 3 Lines > Updates. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Jonathan. How does someone update their Samsung Wallpaper on a S25 Ultra? From what I can tell it's baked into the OS.

As of this morning I'm having the same issue with dynamic wallpaper on my lockscreen. I'm uncertain if the provided link bears any relevance to this issue, ie no recentlyinstalled apps, nothing to do with my theme and Global Goals long given the boot ( nice one, however) I've sent a bug report, a tad annoying.
Update- this issue seems to have resolved itself, at least for the moment. Rah! 😁🙏

I keep having the same issue as well, ive been going crazy thinking its just me. Hopefully they fix this soon

Same here. Worked for a couple of weeks after updating to one ui 8 on s 23 ultra. Keeps force closing since today.

I thought it was just me. Keep waking up to the wallpaper changing to the default one. Try changing it back and get Samsung Wallpaper crashed popups

I'm using the Dynamic Colours wallpaper. I do have LockStar on the phone, from GoodLock. Gonna remove that and see what happens. Will keep you posted. Thought I was going crazy. Glad I'm not alone😊

Good shout, I also use Lockstar and I'm using a different launcher too. But I've been using the launcher for a lot longer than this problem has been going on for

I've been using LockStar since it was available on the phone. Maybe it got updated recently. Who knows. But yeah, just looking for possible causes of the issue, so if it doesn't crash for a few days, I'll reinstall it. Then if that fails, great, we know what the cause is. If not, well... I'll just use the Send Feedback option on the pop up about the crash, linking to this post.
We will get to the bottom of this

I've received a similar message (translated to English):

It has been confirmed that when using a dynamic color wallpaper, certain time periods (day segments) may be shortened, which may cause the wallpaper to not function properly.
A new version of the "Samsung Wallpaper" app, which resolves this issue, will be released soon. Please ensure that your app is always up to date by downloading it from the Galaxy Store.
Upcoming Samsung Wallpaper version: 2.5.80.0 or higher

My question is...how can we look for this update in the galaxy store? I can't find an app on my phone named "Samsung wallpapers".

Any idea about this?

I just started using the dynamic wallpaper on my S23U and it didn't last longer than 4 hours until I got the Samsung Wallpaper keeps crashing popup. Tried the usual dance with clearing cache, data and also tried uninstalling Lockstar to no change. It just won't let me use it.
