To listen to your music files with 5.1 channel sound, you must set the Dolby Pro Logic II mode to Matrix. (See page 25)
I’d start by checking whether the USB is formatted in a format the HT-D330 supports, then make sure the music files are in a supported format. There may also be a specific USB input or source button you need to select on the remote. Hopefully someone with the same model can share the exact steps.

To play music, videos via USB follow these steps:
