Has anyone noticed the charging/data cables that come in the box with the device, break easily after a few months or is it just me being reckless? I am just annoyed that after a few months they become unstable. I plug my phone or tablet into the cable to charge it and it connects but after a second stops charging, I have to re-plug the device again, or switch the ends of the cable's position between themselves or plug the device into another cable. It's annoying to buy a new cable every few months. I think especially the white variety are more flimsy than the black ones. When they work, the charging capability is outstanding so I am not complaining about that.

I got these Ugreen 5amp cables. Much thicker and 2 cost under £6.

All cables fail after a year or so, mainly due to bending, i even tried Cable Matters and UGREEN right angle cables for the car, UGREEN failed quick, Cables Matters last 2 years, but the Mrs twists the cable.

      The ones i have tried.

      Cable Matters USBC Straight

      Cable Matters, love these shorties

      Anker higher capacity

      Cable Matters Right Angle

      Cable Matters Thuderbolt for DeX

Spigen thunderbolt - no good with DeX and too thick connector

UGREEN Right angle, no good to flaky connection

Amazon basic had it for years, solid

Yes that's true but these Samsung cables fail after 4 months or so. That's unsatisfactory. I have not been using them heavily, except the one I take with me on the go for the power bank.

That is an impressive list of cables you tried there. Thank you for sharing.

My Ugreen cables have arrived yesterday, they are a bit shorter than the Samsung ones but they are three times thicker and charging is seamless and stable with them. 😊
      I didn't realise they come 2 for £5.49 so I bought 2 bulks and I've got 4 cables for £11. Bargain.😊

Yep Samsung cables, like the screen protectors are cheap.

I prefer Cable Matters Amazon Link

I use a few original cables and so far they all broke. I ordered the Ugreen ones suggested by @Moiramon.

It is another instance of Samsung copying Apple. 😔

The cables are purposefully flimsy, so that it breaks easily and need to be replaced. At the same time, there is the perpetual recommendation of buying the brand's original charging apparatus for charging speeds in line with the specifications.

I recommend Anker's chargers and cables, as they are mostly compatible with Samsung speeds and then some (on selected models). For cables in particular, I favour Baseus for thick cables and reinforced terminations.

I am using an Anker charging station with different charging ports because not everything is USB-C and it's great. I like to use original cables in order to avoid errors but I am upset they break. I thought i was breaking them but all of them getting broken is a bit suspicious.

EEK i have ordered 105 USB cable, adapters, and chargers since 18 December 2012

So much so for the save the environment and resuse chargers, which then dont support the latest charging, so you end up buing them and throwing old ones away.

Not had a problem with the samsung ones myself. But if I keep waking up forgetting my phone is plugged in when I pick it up. I'm either going to damage the port or the cable for sure 😂. Four times now I have yanked that cable out forgetting it's plugged in. My kids are forever breaking their Apple cables.

Only just recently I have been doing this, never use to 😂. I do have the wireless duo charger. Need a longer cable perhaps, retractable sounds good 👍

I have been using Samsung cables exclusively for a while and do not have have the issue, maybe I am more careful 🙂. Cables likely to break down after a while mind you, Certainly unfortunate for you @Star_girl . Maybe an issue with quality control.

For me only the usb a to c cables broke. The c to c cables never break on my and last a long time (none of them broke on me yet) I wish samsung made longer versions and sold them
