After many years of using Samsung I had a new issue today. My normal routine is to turn off the phone and charge overnight, but this morning the phone was red hot and it had no charge at all. After a 30 minute cooling period I tried charging it again trying eventually four different chargers and methods with no luck. Overall it took two and half hours before the phone would even start charging, anyone else had this problem and know what causes it?

@Gregk64 - did this start immediately when you installed beta 1?

It's only happened the once and this was after the installation of beta 2 a few days before.

The phone may temporarily stop charging when it becomes too hot as a safety measure. However, overheating to this extent and taking several hours before charging resumes is not expected. Please submit an Error Report through the Samsung Members app so the issue can be investigated.

Since I installed beta 2 my phone gets hit everytime

Might be the ui 9 beta your on as softeare updafes somhow can make it heat might last few dsys of it till setrle otheewise somthing cuased the heat tey 1 week if dont see improvment on heat might be hardware issue via skdtware beta or jdut software is buged after beta making the heating
Try 1 week if hadnf improved clntact samsung bug report ans livechat for help if is srill there
