Hi Samsung Team,
I am buying a Samsung S26 Ultra in March 2026. I am using the camera and experiencing overheating issues with my phone. I have tried changing all the settings, but the issue persists. Please share the solution.
Thank you,
Adarsh N.

The immense processing power of AI (Galaxy AI) technologies and Ultra HD video recording puts a heavy load on the phone's processor, causing the area around the camera cutouts to overheat. Here are advanced solutions to permanently fix this issue:
⚙️ Advanced Software Steps to Reduce Heat
• Enable Light Performance Profile: Go to Settings > Device care > Performance profile > Select Light. This mode slightly reduces the phone's maximum processing speed to provide effective cooling without causing any noticeable slowdown during daily use.
• Enable Suspending Unused Apps: Go to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits > and enable the option to put unused apps into sleep mode.
• Disable strenuous automatic enhancements: Open the Camera app and turn off Close Focus Enhancement and automatic lens switching. These processes cause continuous processing that raises the phone's temperature.
🛠️ Environmental and safety precautions while shooting
• Remove the camera cover: Covers (even thin ones) tend to trap heat emitted from the camera module and processor, so it's best to remove them during long shooting sessions.
• Avoid shooting while fast charging: 45W charging generates significant heat, and when combined with the camera's complex processing, it will inevitably force the app to close to protect the phone.
• Avoid direct sunlight: A bright phone screen in sunlight with the camera open accelerates the phone's temperature.
• If the phone continues to issue overheating warnings and close the camera immediately after applying these solutions, it's recommended to open the Samsung Members app and run a diagnostic check on the battery and processor, or visit the nearest authorized service center to have your device's thermal paste and vapor chamber checked.

🛠️ Advanced Software Solutions
• Clear the camera cache: Go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear cache.
• Reset camera settings: Open the Camera app > Gear icon (Settings) > Reset settings.
• Update the operating system and apps: Ensure you have the latest system security update installed and update the Camera app via the Galaxy Store.
• Boot into Safe Mode: Boot your phone into Safe Mode to determine if a third-party app is causing the processor overload and overheating.
⚙️ Temporarily reduce image quality
• Reduce video resolution: If you are shooting in 8K or 4K at 60fps, reduce it to 4K at 30fps or FHD.
• Disable Advanced Features: Turn off features like Auto FPS and Advanced HDR in the camera settings to reduce the load on the AI processor.
🏥 Technical Procedures and Warranty (Currently the Best Option)
• Check Internal Hardware: The problem might be a faulty vapor chamber or internal thermal paste.
• Visit a Service Center: Since the phone is very new (2026 release), it is under warranty. Immediately go to an authorized Samsung service center to request a device inspection or replacement due to a manufacturing defect in the cooling system.
My advice is to wait for the next update. After the update, wait two or three weeks for the device to adjust. If the problem persists, then visit a service center.
