i'm scared to update my software because maybe after i update my software my battery will drain faster, will my battery drain faster after i update my software on my tab s7?

Aside from their wonderful comments here, the increase in battery drain speed after the software update means that your phone is handling a series of optimization procedures. This means that some apps will need to readjust to the new software. Additionally, your files and data will be reorganized and scanned again to detect security risks.
These procedures might complete within five hours (5) if the phone is fully charged and idle or within three (3) days under your normal usage. This optimization process may also take longer if you use your phone during this period. Once the optimization is completed, the standby time will return to normal.
