Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a feature request that I think many Galaxy Buds users would appreciate. I'm planning to submit this to Samsung, but I wanted to see if others experience the same frustration and gather some thoughts.

The Problem:

Right now, the Galaxy Buds only show the charging case battery level and send low battery notifications when the earbuds are actively connected to your phone. This means you only discover the case has low battery at the exact moment you open it to use the earbuds — often when you're already out and about and can't charge immediately.

This completely defeats the purpose of a low battery notification, which should help you prepare in advance, not surprise you when you're trying to use them.

Why This Happens:

The charging case doesn't have its own Bluetooth connection — it only charges the earbuds. Your phone gets battery info from the earbuds, which only read the case battery when connected. When the earbuds are inside the closed case and not in use, there's no communication with the phone, so the battery status stays unknown until the next connection.

My Proposed Solution:

Samsung could implement a simple "update window" in the earbuds' firmware:

Delayed Sleep Mode: When you put the earbuds back in the case and close it, keep them active for 5–10 more seconds before going to sleep.

Final Battery Sync: During that window, the earbuds send the current case battery level to your phone via Bluetooth.

Proactive Notification: If the case battery is below, say, 20–30%, your phone immediately shows a notification — even though you're not actively using the earbuds.

Why This Makes Sense:

No hardware changes needed — just a firmware + app update

Minimal battery impact — 2–5 seconds is negligible

Lets users charge the case before their next use

Aligns with what we expect from smart wearables in 2026

Has Anyone Else Noticed This?

Do you also find yourself surprised by low case battery only when you're about to use the buds? Would this feature be useful for you?

I'm planning to submit this through Samsung Members — if there's already a similar thread here, let me know so I can vote it up instead of creating a duplicate.

Thanks for reading!
