I use my phone for a ton of things, and that includes gaming. One thing I hate is missing messages, but yet again, the pop-up of a notification in the middle of an FPS game is the worst. Breaks the focus, blocks the view sometimes and more.

You might ask why I don't just turn on DND then? The issue is that on DND, you don't receive any notifications and aren't even aware that you've received one. This means that if you were on a five-minute break and had DND enabled, you might not even check your messages when returning to your tasks.

What I was suggesting is that, in the gaming hub of the phone, you get an option that let's say allows your phone to vibrate when you get a notification, without showing the pop-up when you are in a game, allowing you to be aware that you got a message without the inconvenience of the pop-up. Also, that could be a "priority" function that allows only selected apps that will do this while non-selected ones get completely muted, like on DND.

Of course, if something like this already exists but I'm just ignorant of that fact, please enlighten me, thank you and have a fantastic day!

I havent looked at it thoroughly but maybe it's in the routines app that you could set up a actionable item like that or something maybe or I thought in the the gaming Hub settings or something like that, that you could set up how the notifications work. I really don't game on my phone so I'm not as familiar with any of these gaming settings per se

Youre welcome. To somebody could think of something in this community or you can go to the Samsung Reddit community and maybe post it in there. But I understand you are seemingly frustration with it and hope that you can find a solution that will work for you. And you don't have to call me Sir, haha. It makes me feel old...and I'm not old LOL😂

Ah, my apologies in that case. Additionally, I tried the routine you suggested, but it didn't work as I had hoped, so I am still looking for a solution. Though I still appreciate the help, thanks brother. 🙏🏾

      Hi Raccoonpedia,

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback and suggestion. We recognize your concern about missing important messages when using Do Not Disturb, which silences notifications entirely.

Your idea of a Gaming Hub option that allows the phone to vibrate for selected notifications without showing the pop‑up, strikes a great balance between awareness and uninterrupted gameplay. The concept of a priority function for chosen apps is especially valuable, as it would give users more control over which alerts are allowed through while others remain muted.

While this specific feature does not currently exist in Gaming Hub, your feedback is important and will be shared with our development team for consideration in future updates. We truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain the scenario and propose a practical solution.

So basically, if you set up game priority in your game booster, it will automatically put your phone on DND whenever you are on an app considered a game or that you manually classified as such. Until you turn that on, it won't do so.
