Please fix this nonsense...on s26 ultra here - from charging issues, draining battery life, overheating and crashing of numerous apps, to simple yet annoying aesthetics such as a Google search bar that cannot be moved, the One UI 9.0 operating system release has been complete garbage .... this kind of negligence can actually lead to hardware damage....

I agree with Google bar. It easier to just talk to your assistant.

      Hi aenox,

We truly understand how frustrating and concerning it is when a major update impacts your flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra this severely.

Please be assured that our software engineering teams are actively tracking these performance logs, and we will share your report directly with them to ensure these issues are prioritized for an upcoming hotfix.

While our developers work on a permanent patch, we recommend trying these quick steps to help stabilize your device right now:

      • Update All Applications: Major OS updates often cause mismatches with outdated apps, making the processor overheat. Open the Google Play Store and Galaxy Store to install all pending updates especially for Android System WebView.
      • Use Light Performance Mode: Go to Settings > Device care > Performance profile and select Light. This cools down the phone and saves battery by capping unnecessary processor spikes.
      • Refresh Home Grid: If the Google search bar is locked, long-press an empty space on your home screen, tap Settings, and look for a toggle to remove the search widget. Alternatively, you can change your grid preferences under Home screen layout.

I have updated everything, selected light performance profile, adjusted all settings to minimize power use but certain apps severely overheat the device, battery life plummets and during charging the charger becomes burning hot.... some apps may not be up to date by their own developers but your operating system has multiple bugs that prevent OS of managing even light background processes + causes sluggishness due to likely memory leaks. I am afraid to charge the device or turn on certain apps as it will cause damage to phone or charger....The UI 9.0 has been in beta since May... doesnt stuff get tested prior to release !?!?

Is there a date when the UI 9.0 obvious bugs will be fixed or do we just go with the flow ? I would like to use my $2k phone again without melting it. Will you at least fix the Android System WebView memory leaks any time soon ?!?!?

To help us resolve this for your specific device, please submit an Error Report within 5 minutes of the phone overheating so our technical team can analyze your logs.

Simply open the Samsung Members app, tap Support > Error Reports, select Performance, describe the WebView leak, ensure "Send system log data" is checked, and hit Send.

Thank you for your patience as we work to get your phone running smoothly again.
