It is about the Google Play system update, whose security packages are usually compiled and labeled by Google weeks in advance of their widespread distribution. It is usual for devices that receive priority support or stable versions at the end of the year to show the nomenclature of the incoming month. It's clearly a glitch in Google's Play System Update. 

It has been reported that this glitch has affected a number of other devices.
