Hello Samsung Community,

I am hoping a moderator can assist me with a firmware issue that has rendered my Samsung TV's remote control completely non-functional following an automatic OTA update pushed by Samsung on 26 April 2026.

Device Details:
• Model: UA75BU8000KXXA
• Serial Number: 01JD3FBTA00112Z
• Current Firmware: T-KSU2EBUABC-1720.7
• Previous Firmware: 1710.0
• Region: South Africa

What Happened:
On 26 April 2026, my TV automatically received an OTA firmware update (Type: OTN(P)) from version 1710.0 to 1720.7. Immediately following this update, all remote controls stopped working entirely. The TV can only be controlled via its physical onboard button, USB keyboard or the SmartThings app.

Firmware version 1720.7 is available for download on Samsung's website. However the TV refuses to reinstall it via USB as it detects it is already on the same version and does not recognise it as a new update. Rolling back to version 1710.0 is blocked by Samsung's anti-rollback enforcement. This leaves me with no consumer-accessible path to reinstall or repair the firmware without Samsung's proprietary service tools.

What Samsung's Own Service Diagnostics Confirm:
I have accessed the TV's internal service menu and have photographic evidence of the following:

• MODE: FAILURE displayed throughout all service menu sections
• SVC Info Line 03: "Date: 2026-04-26 Type: OTN(P) from: 1710.0 to: 1720.7" - confirms the exact OTA update that caused the fault
• SVC Info Line 06: Last Mode (Connection): Fail
• SVC Info Line 07: Pairing: Smart Control: X - Samsung's own diagnostics explicitly confirm Smart Control pairing as FAILED
• SVC Info Line 09: Watchdog Count: 6 - confirms repeated system crashes since the update
• SVC Upgrade Screen: Multiple components showing Failure including Panel EEPROM, Panel Flash, FRC3D FW and SC ADK
• Debug Menu: BT Throughput: Failure - confirms Bluetooth data stack corruption at firmware level

Why This Is Clearly a Firmware Issue (Not Hardware):
• Bluetooth hardware is fully functional - my phone discovers, connects and streams audio through the TV via Bluetooth without any issues
• All Bluetooth and Smart Control feature flags in the FMS menu are correctly set to true/enabled
• BT Address is correctly registered in the service menu
• The fault appeared immediately and exclusively following Samsung's OTA update
• Five different remotes tested - original Samsung remote, genuine Samsung Solar Remote, two generic remotes and the remote the Samsung technician came out to test with.
• BT Upgrade executed successfully via service menu using the 1720.7 firmware file, but Smart Control pairing still fails — confirming the issue is in the main firmware's pairing initialisation stack

Troubleshooting Already Performed:
• Multiple factory resets including service-level reset
• SVC Reset
• USB firmware reinstall attempts - blocked as TV detects same version already installed
• USB downgrade to 1710.0 - blocked by anti-rollback enforcement
• BT Upgrade via service menu - executed successfully but insufficient to resolve the issue
• Full exploration of all service menu sections including Option, MRT Option, Engineer Option, Control, SVC, Debug and FMS
• Firmware region change attempt
• MASS Simple Test run
• Samsung authorized repair centre visited - technicians confirmed they do not have tools to reinstall TV software and are quoting for hardware replacement instead

What I Am Requesting:
I have seen in other posts in Samsung communities that moderators have been able to provide interim firmware files or escalate firmware issues directly to Samsung's engineering team. Given that:

1. Samsung's own OTA update caused this fault on 26 April 2026
2. Samsung's own service diagnostics confirm Smart Control pairing as FAILED following the update
3. The TV refuses to reinstall the same firmware version via USB
4. Downgrading is blocked by anti-rollback
5. The authorized repair centre cannot perform firmware repairs and is wanting to quote on unnecessary hardware replacements

I am respectfully requesting that a moderator:
• Escalate this to Samsung's firmware engineering team
• Provide a corrected or updated version of firmware 1720.7 that resolves the Smart Control pairing failure
• Or arrange a firmware reflash through Samsung's official service channels at no charge

I have photographic evidence of every diagnostic screen mentioned above and am happy to provide these to Samsung's engineering team.

This is a documented pattern - similar Bluetooth pairing failures following firmware updates have been reported by other Samsung TV owners on forums. Samsung's own automatic update broke the use of my TV and I am hoping the community and moderators can help me find a resolution.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

If you want any chance of getting noticed by a developer, you should add the photographic evidence you mentioned to the post for them to take this seriously and to give this post any real credibility as its currently just an AI text response.

Not a single person from Samsung can even bother responding or make even the slightest attempt to assist? Absolutely shocking.
