If I already have a recipe or meal-prep entry that lists the exact nutrition information, I should be able to upload a screenshot or take a picture and have Samsung Health automatically create the food entry.

For example:

620 calories
55g protein
62g carbs
18g fat

Samsung Health could simply scan the text, recognize the macros, let me confirm or edit them, and then save the meal.

This would be much more accurate than having AI estimate the nutrition from a photo of the finished food when the exact macros are already known.

Ideally: upload image → detect calories/macros → confirm → save to Samsung Health.

This would be a really useful feature! If the exact calories and macros are already available, Samsung Health should let users scan a screenshot, review the detected values and save the meal directly. It would save time and avoid the inaccuracies of estimating nutrition from a food photo.

Indeed, I have a meal prep cook book. Each recipe breaks down the macros and calories of each meal plus all the ingredients. I just want to be able to screenshot the recipe and add it to samsung health at the end of the day. I don't think it would be that hard to add? Many apps have this already, hopefully we get it !

I believe this has been asked about before.  You can and should put in a feature request with the developers through the feedback link in the support tab of the Members app.

Excellent. I wasn't sure of the best method of reaching out to them / getting attention for addition of a feature
