My Samsung TV is past its warranty but I consider burning and melting while still powering on a substantial manufacturer’s defect.

I’m learning from this message board, that this is a persistent issue with Samsung TVs. I’m so lucky I was home so my wall didn’t catch fire. I’ve unplugged my TV.

Samsung has not resolved this issue to my satisfaction despite several emails.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience you have encountered. As the television is no longer under warranty, Samsung is unable to provide coverage, regardless of whether you believe the issue stems from a manufacturing defect. Warranties are valid for a specified duration to address such defects, and they do not extend beyond that period. This is standard industry practice for all warranty agreements.
