I have a Model: DVE45R6100C/A3 and even after the drying cycle is over the drum continues to spin and will always spin as long as the door switch it pressed. Luckily it does not continue to heat after the cycle. I tried using the smart care app to get an error code but it thinks everything is fine. Unluckily the issue can go for anywhere from an hour or last a week or more then stop. It just recently started again after almost a year of no issues. I've had people out to repair it but since I have no idea how long it's going to malfunction by the time the repairman gets here it's stopped and they can't diagnose an issue that hasn't throw an error code or isn't actively happening there isn't much they will do about it. I'm at a loss and any help would be most appreciated.

It sounds like an intermittent stuck relay on the main control board. Since it stops on its own, the repair tech should test the motor relay/control board while the problem is actually happening.
