Watch 8 tracked my sleep every single night. 3 nights with the watch 9 and I caught half a night.

Hi @userYFFBa5lSQT thanks for reaching out to the Samsung Community. I understand sleep tracking can definitely help see how much rest you are getting, so it's important, and the watch should be tracking. I have seen a few others talk about sensor issues being resolved by removing the sticker on the back of the device. If you haven't already check to make sure that has been removed, it can be hard to notice.

If that has been removed the next thing you can try is powering down both the watch and the phone, and then checking to make sure both devices are updated to the latest software version along with the health app being on the latest update.

Another option is to run diagnostics through the Members app to test the sensor on the watch along with submitting an error report. I will link how to do both of those things below.

Please let me know if any of the steps resolved your problem. Also the community might have some suggestions as well!

I am having same issue and here is the response I received from Support:
Thank you for your patience while our team reviewed the logs you provided.

Based on the analysis, it appears that the sleep measurement was interrupted due to movement during sleep. The Galaxy Watch determines sleep status using an algorithm that relies on accelerometer data. As a result, movements such as tossing and turning or arm movement during sleep may be interpreted as wakefulness, which can interrupt sleep tracking.

Our technical team has identified that sleep tracking may be overly sensitive to movement in certain situations and is aware of this behavior. Improvements are being considered for future updates.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.

If you have any further concerns or questions, please let us know. We will be happy to assist you.

      Kind regards,

      Ruffa

I had this problem with my new Samsung Watch 9.

After some trial and error, I have done the following and now get almost perfect sleep data:

      1.  I switched off the AGEs Index (on your watch go to Samsung Health, Settings and then scroll down)

      2.  Initially, at night I started wearing the watch so the face was on the inside of my wrist. That really seemed to make a big difference. However, I dont like wearing my watch that way, so I then tried shaving off the hairs on the back of my wrist directly below where the sensors touch and that worked just as well !

      Good Luck !
