The steps on my Watch 9 44mm LTE stop counting. This is the 3rd time this has happened. I have chatted with Samsung and gone through many adjustments and functions. The only thing that works is a factory reset. It's a pain to have to keep doing this to get it to work. I have had the watch for 5 weeks and 3 resets seems not to be right. Anyone else have the same happen to them or a fix? About to do a reset again.

Hi @JohnDB1, thank you for reaching out to the Samsung Community. Having to perform multiple resets to correct this issue sounds very frustrating. We'd be more than happy to help.

You mentioned that you previously chatted with someone and were guided through some troubleshooting steps, but have you tried running diagnostics on your watch? This will check the watch's sensors to help determine whether a hardware issue may be causing the problem. If the diagnostics identify an issue, service may be required.

You can run diagnostics through the Samsung Members app. I'll provide the steps below:

      https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003632/

If you have already completed the diagnostics, we recommend submitting an error report through the

Galaxy Wearable app so our developers can investigate further:

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I've been having the same issue for over a month now and submitted an error report. I was informed that it is an ongoing software issue after the latest update and that it would be corrected in the next update, but have not been told how long it would be before it was going to be fixed. It's extremely frustrating that this issue has been going on this long with no resolution. Others have posted that they've been having the same issue for months now unfortunately.

I have the exact same problem with my ultra too. Eventually up escalated the issue to Samsung health support. They claim they know about the problem that it's a known issue they know how to fix it and they'll fix it and issue an update when they get around to it there is no timeline. I think this is outrageous.

This isn't a user too. There is no troubleshooting that will solve it. It's simple Samsung has to rework the software and issue an update. Do it. This is an outrageous example of terrible support. I'm ready to join the last action suit and sue Samsung for fraudulent business practices you advertise the product that has certain capabilities you can't perform the most basic function. You can't count steps on an 800 dollar smartwatch? You know what the problem is you know how to fix it and you don't even have a timeline for sending out an update. This is ridiculous all all you get from Samsung or patronizing emails saying you understand the frustration etc no I don't think you understand at all. Fix our watches!

Stop with the garblefarb and issue an update. Fix your defective product.
