The Beta for UI 9 on the GW 8 is active now. The official release probably won't be for a few weeks or more.

Yeah I've done that but it's not there. My 8 is an LTE model and I think I read it's only available for the BT model

It's only available for BT watches at this time so I'm assuming you don't have a LTE version. Mine is LTE.
