I have been wearing the new Ultra 2 for 3 weeks and cannot resolve a couple issues. Not sure if they are related, so I am to outline both here.

The first issue is wrist detection when my wrist is wet. This happens both with sweat and water when getting out of the shower. I do not have tattoos and the sticker is not on the bottom of the watch. I have AOD on, but when this issue happens, the watchface only shows when raising my wrist. The watch is locked after unlocking, the watch stays lit and unlocked while touching the screen. After that it goes dark and locks.almoat instantly. This usually does not resolve itself unless I remove the watch for 30 minutes or so.

Similarly, the other issue is the watch going dark even with AOD on. This happens both in the morning after waking and any time I am sitting fairly still, like reading or watching TV. When this happens, it takes 20 minutes or more after I am active for the AOD to work as expected. Tapping the screen or buttons does not fully wake the watch. I cannot really determine how to get the watch work as expected. The only difference between these 2 issues is that this second one the watch does not lock when it goes dark.

Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.

Make sure you have wrist detection turned on! Also, I don't know if this is what's happening to you, but it happened to me: I didn't have the band tight enough on my wrist. Because of that, my watch kept locking itself while I was wearing it since it thought I had taken it off.

Yes, I do have wrist detection on. Mine goes black and locks like you described when my wrist is wet. Similar to the bug others have identified for people who have wrist tattoos (I do not).

The watch does not lock when I am still for a period of time. The screen just goes black, even though AOD is on and battery saver is off. I reset my watch again last night with no change. Never had this issue with the original Ultra.

I've been having the same issues. what's odd is I found a temporary fix. run the sensor test. for me, this fixes the issue.... at least until the next time I take the watch off to charge and put back on again and have to run the sensor test again.

That's weird. I tried that yesterday and it did nothing. It woke the watch for the test but went back soon after the test was done.

This behavior is very inconsistent for me. I cannot pinpoint when it is going to happen.
