I have had my Galaxy Buds 4 Pro for almost a week now. Last night, I noticed that when I tried pinching and holding my left bud to change to ANC mode, it was not working. But I did hear a beep that I normally do not hear which almost sounded like there was an error. Pinching the right bud to activate Gemini has no issues. I tried putting both of my buds into the case, and then pulled them back out a few moments later, but the issue persisted. I rebooted the phone and this temporarily fixed the issue for me. Barely an hour or two later, I started having the problem again.
To try and isolate the issue, I set the sound mode changing on the right bud as well. It will would not change modes, giving me the same odd error-like chime when I attempted this with the right bud. Single pinches to play and stop music work with both buds. Also, switching the sound control mode through the software works fine as well. So, it definitely feels like this is a software problem, since a phone reboot fixes it. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any way to fix this? I don't want to keep rebooting my phone.
Both the phone and the buds are at the latest software/firmware versions available at the time of this post.

Hi @AncientJames, thank you for reaching out to the Samsung Community. I can imagine that is really frustrating to have the noise control not working and even more frustrating that restarting your phone fixes it but only for a short period of time. I would love to provide some troubleshooting that might help.
Have you tried to perform a Factory Reset of your Galaxy Buds?
You will want to open the Wearables app and Tap About earbuds. Tap Reset earbuds, and then tap Reset again to confirm
I will provide you with an article that shows what this will look like in the app.
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01218103/
Make sure once you have reset the buds you check to make sure no updates are available.
If you are still experiencing the issue we suggest submitting an error report, so developers can see exactly what is going on and hopefully push out an update to fix the issue.
I will link an article to show you how to submit the error report:
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10003603/
Please reach back out to the community to let us know if the reset helped to help others who may have a similar problem in the future.

I'm having the exact same issue with the pinch for sound controls. Same error beep regardless of whether it is set to the left or right bud.
All the other pinch controls work fine apart from sound profiles. For example Google assistant pinch works fine.
A reset back to factory settings didn't work. The only way to change sound profile is going I to the software settings and changing from there.
I think it's a software issue with the buds that needs a patch
