Installed on my Galaxy S23 Ultra. The buds are working but the "Set up your earbuds" option does nothing.
I can switch ambient on and off via nearby devices but have no access to advanced settings such as ambient volume, equalizer etc.
Everything works perfectly on my Windows pc using the Galaxy buds app.
Phone is running One UI 8.0, Android 16
Buds3 FE Manager installed is 8.0.25112751
Anyone else having this issue?

@Members_kK4bGAg So have you thought about maybe doing a Factory Data Reset of your phone? Definitely back up your phone before doing the reset, so none of your data is lost. If you don't want to do that you may want to try taking your phone and buds into an authorized service center for an evaluation. They may also suggest the reset as well, or have another option.
Here is a link on how to reset your device inside it talks about backing up and gives you a link to those steps as well.
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002030/
and again here is the option for service locations.

@Members_kK4bGAg In UI 8, the earbud settings was moved to the phone settings. Checkou this article https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10007054/

Yes I'm aware of that. I can access the main settings by pressing the settings cog in the Bluetooth menu but when I press the "Set up your earbuds" option nothing happens.
From the phone settings I can see "Buds3 FE" but when I press it, nothing happens.

@Members_kK4bGAg Are you buy any chance using the "Customize your settings home" option in Good Lock's RegiStar module? If so, try turning that off.

Extra information. I can see my buds using "Nearby devices". This lets me switch between ambient sound and active noise cancelling modes but there's no access to the advanced controls from here (but maybe this is normal).

Hi @Members_kK4bGAg thanks for reaching out to the Samsung Community. Not being able to use your buds with your phone to its full capabilities is frustrating. I have a few steps you can try to hopefully fix the issue.
First, If you can, you will need to unpair your device or forget it from your Bluetooth menu and then turn off Bluetooth.
Next, place your buds into the case, leave the case open. Now on the bottom of the case you should see a button, if you press and hold this button until the lights start flashing then close the case. The light should go off.
Open the case and press again to have the light come back on flashing, at this point turn the Bluetooth back on.
Now you should be able to pair the device again. Your device should show up on the Bluetooth menu under nearby devices. Once you do this, see if you are able to access the settings menu and allows you to set up your earbuds.
If this doesn't work the only other thing I can think of is to have them looked at by a local authorized walk in center or have them sent in for service. Here is a link to find a location near you:
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/
If there is no walk-in, you can set up service to have the device sent in to us using this link or calling Samsung support at 1-800-726-7864.

Thanks for your advice. I had tried that before but I've tried again, following your steps precisely. Unfortunately the problem persists.
The buds are brand new and are working perfectly with advanced controls when connected to Windows via the Galaxy buds app. Not sure how they could be faulty if that is the case?

@Members_kK4bGAg I was hoping that would help. I'm trying to think of where the disconnect could be with your phone. Is your phone completely up-to-date with its software? Another thing you can try is to reset the Bluetooth settings. Settings>General Management>Reset, and then you should see Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Settings. Then restart the phone and see if that might help.

@Members_kK4bGAg Okay I have something else to try, I want you to boot into safe mode and then try to connect! Since you're able to connect to other devices I do feel like it is something going on with the phone and this will tell you if something 3rd party is interfering.
Just in case, here is an article that will walk you through booting into safe mode if you don't know how!
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/
Please let me know if this help!

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried connecting in safe mode but the problem persists.
While in safe mode I tried uninstalling the Buds3 FE Manager and Samsung wearables apps, restarted and reconnected my buds.. but still the same. I'd love to be able to access the advanced features. Any other ideas?

So if i'm understanding this correctly, the only solution to this is a complete factory reset of my phone, and then the hours it takes to get it, set back up correctly. I wish I was told this before about the ear buds. now i'm gonna see if I can get my money back because this is not feasible.
