I've had Buds 3 pros for a while and use them while doing garage and physical work. Whenever in ambient or adaptive mode they transmit high sharp noises way too amplified. Things like metal to metal "clinks" etc. End up being super loud pops and crack/snap noises in the buds that seriously seem like they could be damaging my hearing. Things that seem benign like stacking silverware in a drawer create these crazy loud snap/pop noises. I basically have to always turn ambient or adaptive off to do anything while working with tools even if the work would not generate any noise loud enough to be unpleasant. I've reduced the ambient sound volume all the way to lowest and still have this condition. Pretty disappointing that the only way to comfortably use these is to completely turn off noise controls or only use with ANC on which eliminates the ability to communicate with anyone around. Seems like a big oversight in usability software development. Would love a software update that could fix this.

Hi @JSlip, thanks for reaching out to the Samsung Community. I can image hearing loud noises in your ear can be frustrating and annoying. How long has this been going on and did it start after an update?

The first thing you should do is make sure your buds are fully updated to the latest software version. If this is happening on certain apps like Spotify or another music app make sure they are updated as well. Also make sure your phone is fully up-to-date too.

Next if the problem persists, perform a Factory Reset of you Galaxy Buds. From the wearable app, tap Earbuds settings, tap General, and then tap Reset. Tap Reset again to confirm. Once the reset is complete, the earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode. From there pair them back to your device and see if you are still having the same problem.

If this is a software issue you can always submit an error report as well to let the developers know and if this can be fixed by an update they can push one out to your device. Follow the link on how to submit an error report.
