I've noticed that the Fn Lock state resets to "OFF" after every restart on the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360. Currently, users must manually re-enable Fn Lock (Fn+F12) every time they boot to use multimedia shortcuts as the primary keyS.
Request: Please release a firmware or Samsung Settings update that allows the Fn Lock state to persist across sessions. Maintaining hardware consistency is essential for a "Pro" device.

Hello Metroplex2077,
I understand you are having an issue with the FN buttons on your device requiring you to enable the FN lock after each restart. I can understand how frustrating this has to be for you. If the keys are not responding as expected, they can be easily fixed by adjusting the settings or checking for available updates. Please use the following link to access some troubleshooting steps for your device. If unsuccessful, there is also a link for you to contact the support center for possible service.

I just purchased a Book Pro 6 and cannot believe I have to deal with this on every reboot. I am seriously considering returning this if there is no fix, all other Dell/HPs I have owned have had an Fn lock in the BIOS for 10+ years.

it seems ridiculous that we cannot persist either the media key or function key setting after a reboot

I agree. Just bought Book6 Pro. Same issue. Should have stuck with Dell.

I’m experiencing the same issue on my Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 (960QHA). Fn Lock works when I press Fn + F12, but resets after restarting, so I have to enable it again to use brightness and volume controls without holding Fn.
Please add either an option to remember the last Fn Lock state or a saved BIOS/UEFI setting to choose multimedia keys versus F1–F12 as the default.
My versions:
BIOS: P17ALY.390.260616.03
Samsung Settings: 8.0.13.0
The shortcut itself works correctly; the issue is that the preference doesn’t stay saved. Could a moderator forward this feature request to the Galaxy Book firmware team and let us know whether it’s being considered?
