I'm trying to use the M70F monitor with the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Pro via USB-C.
Everything works, except I can't put the monitor in extended mode. This would allow better refresh rates and works well with my Macbook and Lenovo Thinkstation.
However, this Ultra X7 358h with the B390 can't support more than 30hz on an external 4k monitor. 30hz in 2026 😮
30hz from a Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 6 to a Samsung M70f monitor.
I thought the point was the ecosystem?

Exactly same problem here! Same monitor and the monitor works fine with MacBook + Lenovo ThinkPad.
Only difference is that my Book 6 Pro has a Ultra 7 356H with Intel Graphics. Tried everything including high-quality usb-c cables etc.
Please fix this Samsung / Intel.

The M70F supports 4K at up to 60Hz, so 30Hz may be a connection or USB-C setting issue rather than the monitor itself. Check that the USB-C cable supports DP 1.4/4K 60Hz and, if available, set the monitor's USB-C preference to High Resolution. Samsung has noted that this setting can be needed for 4K 60Hz over USB-C. You should also check Windows > Display > Advanced display to see if 60Hz is available.

Hi Levi
Thanks for your suggestions, all that has been checked and tried.
If setting the monitor usb-c preference to High resolution, Windows just tries again and again to display it, while the monitor says there is an error with the input. If downgrading the usb-c preference, Windows can display a 4K picture but only at 30 Hz or run 60 Hz at a lower resolution. This isn't without problems either though, as Windows messes the resolution up every time the PC goes to sleep.
Pretty clear to me that the problem is the Book6 Pro, as everything works perfect with a MacBook or a Lenovo ThinkPad.

30 Hz isn’t a limitation of the B390 itself. The Book6 Pro has Thunderbolt 4/DisplayPort over USB-C, so 4K60 should be possible. check the M70F’s Input Signal Plus/Expansion setting and try another full-featured USB-C cable first—Samsung specifically notes that this setting can be the difference between 4K30 and 4K60.
