Halo
I have a Samsung laptop with an annoying intermittent problem. The cursor disappears.
The laptop is Model NP7300QED. The problem is no cursor at boot up.
Steps I've taken to try to resolve:
1. Ensure the touchpad is on.
2. Toggle the touchpad
3. Reboot the laptop
4. Device Manager ==> Delete mouse driver ==> reboot
5. Used an external mouse, works fine. Does not un-freeze the internal mouse when turned off.
Looking for corrective action.
TIA

Trigger the Security Screen: Press Ctrl + Alt + Del, then hit Esc to exit. This forces Windows to refresh the desktop graphics layer and often brings the cursor back instantly.

This laptop supports 360° rotation. If the sensor malfunctions, the laptop may mistakenly detect that it is in “tablet mode” and start up, automatically disabling the touchpad. You can try pressing Win + R, typing “services.msc”, and pressing Enter. Locate “Sensor Monitoring Service”, right-click and select “Properties”, set “Startup Type” to “Automatic”, and then click “Start.” Repeat the same steps for “Sensor Service.” Next, flip the laptop into tablet mode, wait 5 seconds, and then flip it back to laptop mode to reset the hardware trigger status.

You can try pressing the key combination Fn + F5 (or the F-key with a touchpad icon) to re-enable the touchpad, or press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and select "Cancel" to refresh the screen.

Since the external mouse works, it sounds like the issue is with the touchpad rather than Windows itself. You should check if there's a BIOS update or a newer touchpad driver available from Samsung. You could also see if the touchpad works in the BIOS. If it doesn't, that would point more toward a hardware issue than a driver problem.

BIOS Advanced menu => Touch Pad Mouse is on.
I selected (right menu) Default ==> Save ==> Exit
Mouse still hidden
I ran Samsung device care ==> No updates found
