Gesture issues with a case

I turned on gestures and have one of those soft tpu cases on my S22 Ultra. To initiate the gesture I have to start the drag on the case edge. If I start the drag on the screen it just performs whatever swipe action is default for the app. My suggestion would be to expand the gesture area by a few pixels
