It is so ugly that I have removed the icon using Quickstar module. Also, previously it was possible to remove the battery icon from Always On Display. Samsung UI dev team should either let us customize the battery Icon using themes or change the pill shape to actuall battery-like icon. So many design choices, yet the I didn't get it why the UI designer chosen such a pathetic icon.
Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the battery icon design. We understand preferences for different visual styles, and your suggestion will be shared with the relevant teams for review. We appreciate your input as we continue working to enhance the user experience.
Give us option to change completely unreadable gray pill with black text on it, with simply white text (like the time) or dark rectangle shaped battery with white text (like on One UI 6.1)
W t f even is this stupid oval battery indicator?! Please give us back the actual battery indicator. Even having the number for the current battery percentage inside the 'pill", it's hardly discernable as the battery percentage . This update is absolutely terrible! Not only is it literally raping my battery without ANY other changes besides the UI update, but I also can't even tell what my battery percentage is at, or when it's charging....also, everything is just shades of grey. I can't tell when something is toggled in or off because both are just grey. What is this update?!
Please add a status-bar option to restore the traditional battery outline icon with the percentage displayed beside it, as on earlier One UI versions. Keep the current pill and percentage-only styles as choices. The pill is difficult for me to read quickly, and hiding its background leaves only the percentage rather than restoring a recognizable battery icon.

Absolutely. It's hideous. So many of the icons are these bubbles and are not easier to see or use. Total nightmare.

Please actually make some way for us to make meaningful change. It should be pretty simple to allow us to revert to the previous battery icon....
