Did you know that your phone can alert you with a flash notification when a message or call arrives—even if it’s completely silent? Imagine sitting in a loud café, working out at the gym, or keeping your phone on silent during an important meeting. Instead of missing an important alert, your device can grab your attention with a quick camera flash notification or a bright screen flash notification.

When enabling flash notifications, you can choose exactly which apps should trigger these visual alerts. Whether you prefer the subtle blink of your camera flash or the noticeable glow of a screen flash, this feature makes sure you never miss a notification again. 

Camera flash notifications

Step 1. Open Settings and go to Accessibility.

Step 2. Tap on Advanced settings.

Step 3. Tap on Flash notification.

Step 4. Turn on Camera flash notification.

Step 5. Choose the apps for which you want to receive Camera flash notifications.

Screen flash notifications

Step 1. Open Settings and go to Accessibility.

Step 2. Tap on Advanced settings.

Step 3. Tap on Flash notification.

Step 4. Turn on Screen flash notification.

Step 5. Choose the apps for which you want to receive Screen flash notifications.
You can either choose for which apps you want to receive Screen flash notifications, or activate it for all apps.

When selecting your preferred flash notifications, you may also click Preview to see what the notifications will look like.
