I have brought the Tab S11, which is due to be delivered tomorrow. I will then need to send my Tab S8 back to Samsung as part of the trade-in agreement.

When you do a trade-in, should you remove your screen protector?

Thanks.

No as it will protect it on transit.

You'll be sent a returns pack, probably with your new device.

Set up your new one, copy anything over that you're going to copy, check it is all good, factory data reset your old device remembering to remove Google and Samsung accounts.

      Enjoy your new device 👏👏

      Quick trade in tips.

Take lots of pictures and videos of the status of the device. Including screen on IMEI number and all sides.

Weigh the packed parcel on scales and photo the weight. Use a suitable insurance to cover the value of the device, for at least the full value you are trading it in for. Even if this means upgrading the postage from the basic cover.

These steps should cover you. There are multiple complaints during peak spells about MTR trading (Samsungs trade in partner). They are NOT Samsung and are a separate company. At times from reading posts on here it seems they are not the most genuine and honest about traded devices. !

Take the uncertainty out and use extra diligence.

IMEI number? What do I do with that, sorry?

Thanks for the tips, very helpful.
Oh, that's a shame that they aren't always honest about it. I hope they are with me. But I'll have the evidence.

Personally, I do this every time. You'll get a return pack- Record a short video with close-ups, proving it works. Turn off the device and show yourself packing it securely.

Once you go to the post office, show the scale and take a picture as proof of sending.

Ps- I always pay for extra cover for delivery

Thank you for your message. Yes that makes sense.

So what cover do I need for it?

      Thanks.

Most companies at the post office are helpful, so if you're using DPD/Royal Mail, just say, "I'm sending a device. It's worth 'x' amount. What service do you offer to cover it in the event something goes wrong?" They should explain the different prices and levels, or you can Google it.

      Special delivery is enough.

Forgot to say, the bottom left-hand corner has a slight crack (the screen protector). Is that a problem? The screen itself is perfectly fine, but will the company know that it's a screen protector?
