Hi,

Did anyone notice that Samsung Messages app on S25 Ultra is older than, let say on S22?

On my S22 it is version 16.1.1.xxxxx, while on my S25 Ultra it is 15.7.04xxxx....

Seems funny...

on my S25 Ultra 15.7.04.5 shows up as latest version, even when reinstalling. I do not have an S22 but on S21 Ultra it is 16.0.10.49 which is determined as latest version.
However while still use Samsung Messages outside of the US (on the bulk of Devices) with lack of investment may not have much of a future anyway. Samsung Messages cannot be downloaded on the S26 Ultra, I am using Google Messages there on a Test Device.

I suspect Samsung Messages is on end of life support

Expect an announcement soon about it being deleted altogether.

Probably. Nevertheless I would much prefer Samsung app, out of principles 🙂

Funny enough just got an update on my S26 ultra yesterday 15.7.05.9

Running ONE UI 9 Beta. 😊

Maybe they are downgrading the features 😂 slowly so people get fed up and move to google messages.

I hope that app doesn't get discontinued...
